The main myth that I have encountered about abs is that people seem to think that to get a 6 pack you must do hundreds of sit-ups a day. The truth is you don’t need to do any sit-ups if you simply exercise regularly and eat well.
From my own personal experience and research I can assure you that cardiovascular exercise and smart nutrition will do far more to give you great looking abs than sit-ups ever will.
Right now I have the best looking abs of my life, and I usually don’t do any abs exercises. Instead I have been focusing on cardio and nutrition and my results have been amazing!
Although sit-ups will strengthen your 6 pack they will not do much to burn the fat around your abs. Burning the fat around your belly is achieved by reducing your overall body fat. To do this you must achieve calorie deficits on a regular basis so that your body is forced to burn fat for fuel.
A calorie deficit is when you burn more calories than you consume, and requires both exercise and smart eating. The great thing about simply striving for a calorie deficit is that you can eat pretty much anything as long as you remember that the more you eat the harder you are going to have to work.
By tracking my fitness I make sure that I always achieve a calorie deficit and make progress towards a better looking 6 pack.
trying to improve and push the maximum amount of weight I can lift, and the distance that I can run.
With a good exercise routine and a disciplined diet you will start seeing results right away.
So stop hurting your spine with sit-ups, and instead eat smart and exercise, and you will be well on your way to a wicked looking 6 pack!
