Building muscle is an awesome way to accelerate your progress towards six pack abs.

When you build your muscles your body continues to burn calories even after you leave the gym, as your muscles recover and repair.

The more muscles you have the more efficiently your body will incinerate food for fuel, whether or not you are working out.  The more muscle you have the easier it is to stay lean.

Arnold was an inspiration to the bodybuilding world.

If you look at the amazing amount of muscle that Arnold had it helps to put your goal of achieving abs into a much more achievable perspective.

If Arnold was able to achieve such a phenomenal body getting a simple six pack is easy in comparison.

When I’m in the gym and thinking about leaving early I remember that Arnold hit the gym for five hours a day and it makes me work harder during the hour or two I’m there.  Whenever I push myself to the limit at the end of my workout when my endorphin’s are pumping at full force and I’m feeling great I’m always glad I did!

Whenever I exercise I find it helps to keep Arnold Schwarzenegger in mind, since he was in many ways greatest bodybuilder of all time.

Arnold won the Mr. Olympia contest seven consecutive times!

Pumping Iron shows Arnold during his glory bodybuilding days.

arnold-flexingThere are some memorable moments in these film, like when Arnold starts talking about how amazing “The Pump” feels.

Arnold was a monster back in the day.  I do not think any bodybuilder to this day can compare to Arnold in his prime.

I noticed that Pumping Iron is posted on YouTube and you can see the first video from the series below.

At the end of Pumping Iron, after Arnold wins Mr. Olympia for the seventh time, he declares his retirement from bodybuilding and smokes some marijuana.

The entire movie Pumping Iron is on YouTube, in 12 parts and I recommend you watch it if you want to see what is possible if you set your sights on a goal and then strive for it unrelentingly.

If you want six pack abs half as badly as Arnold wanted to be the best bodybuilder in the world there is no doubt in my mind that you will achieve them!
